Where to find luggage storage in Brisbane
Our BagDrop network covers the areas visitors spend the most time in. Here's a rundown:
Brisbane CBD
The CBD is the heart of Brisbane. Queen Street Mall is the main shopping strip, and the surrounding streets are full of restaurants, bars and cafes. Central Station and Roma Street Station are both here, so a lot of travellers pass through. If you're arriving by train and want to explore before heading to your accommodation, a BagDrop in the CBD means you can leave your bags and start walking immediately.
South Bank
South Bank is Brisbane's cultural precinct. Streets Beach (a man-made beach right in the city), the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Convention and Exhibition Centre, GOMA and the Queensland Museum are all here. The parklands along the river are where locals come to swim, eat and relax. It's one of the best spots in the city, and it's much better without a bag on your back. Store your stuff at a BagDrop and spread out on the grass.
Fortitude Valley
The Valley is Brisbane's entertainment district. Chinatown is here, along with live music venues, rooftop bars, nightclubs and some of the city's best restaurants. James Street has upmarket shopping and dining. During the day it's great for browsing. At night it comes alive. Either way, a suitcase or backpack is going to cramp your style. Drop it at a BagDrop and enjoy the Valley properly.
West End
West End is one of Brisbane's most interesting neighbourhoods. It's multicultural, creative and full of independent cafes, bookshops, vintage stores and weekend markets. Boundary Street is the main strip and it's packed on Saturdays when the Davies Park Market runs. It's a wandering neighbourhood, and you'll enjoy it a lot more with free hands.
New Farm and Teneriffe
New Farm is a leafy inner-city suburb along the river. New Farm Park is one of the prettiest parks in Brisbane, and the Howard Smith Wharves underneath the Story Bridge have become a food and drink destination. Teneriffe, next door, has converted woolstores turned into apartments and some excellent restaurants. It's a lovely area for a long walk, especially along the riverwalk. Leave your bags at a BagDrop and take your time.
Roma Street Parkland and Spring Hill
Roma Street Parkland is a massive subtropical garden right on the edge of the CBD. It's one of the largest city gardens in Australia and it's free to visit. Spring Hill, the suburb next to it, is a quiet area with heritage buildings and easy access to the city centre. If you're arriving at Roma Street Station and have time before check-in, a BagDrop nearby lets you enjoy the parkland without dragging bags along paths and stairways.
