Where to find luggage storage in Detroit
Our BagDrop network covers the areas visitors actually spend time in:
Downtown Detroit
Downtown is the core. Campus Martius Park, the Guardian Building, the Renaissance Center and most of the big hotels are here. It's walkable and there's the People Mover if your legs need a break. The Riverwalk starts here and runs east along the Detroit River with great views of Windsor across the water. BagDrop locations downtown mean you can dump your stuff and start walking.
Corktown
Corktown is Detroit's oldest neighbourhood and it's become the food and drink destination in the city. Michigan Avenue is the main strip with spots like Slows Bar BQ, Mudgie's Deli and a bunch of craft breweries. The old Michigan Central Station has been restored by Ford and is worth seeing even from the outside. If you're spending the afternoon here, bags are the last thing you want.
Midtown and the Cultural Center
Midtown is where you'll find the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Detroit Historical Museum and Wayne State University. The DIA alone could take half a day. It's a walkable neighbourhood with cafes and shops along Woodward Avenue. Drop your bags before you spend the afternoon with Diego Rivera's murals.
Comerica Park and the Sports District
Comerica Park (Tigers), Ford Field (Lions) and Little Caesars Arena (Red Wings, Pistons, concerts) are all within a few blocks of each other just north of downtown. On game days and concert nights this area gets packed. A BagDrop nearby lets you enjoy the event without worrying about where to put your stuff.
Eastern Market
Eastern Market is one of the oldest and largest public markets in the country. Saturday is the big day when the sheds fill up with produce, meat, flowers and baked goods. The surrounding streets are covered in murals and there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. It's busy, it's fun, and it's much better without bags.
Greektown
Greektown is a compact entertainment district with restaurants, bars and a casino. It's right downtown and is an easy walk from the Convention Center and the sports venues. If you're looking for a meal and some nightlife, this is a solid spot. Leave your bags first.
