Where to find luggage storage in Philadelphia
Our BagDrop network covers the areas visitors spend the most time in. Here's a rundown:
Old City and Independence Mall
Old City is where Philadelphia's history lives. Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Congress Hall and Elfreth's Alley are all within a few blocks. The cobblestone streets and brick buildings make it one of the most walkable historic districts in America. Crowds get thick, especially in summer. Leave your bags at a BagDrop and soak up the history hands-free.
Center City and Rittenhouse Square
Center City is Philly's downtown. Rittenhouse Square is the green centre, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and high-rises. Walnut and Chestnut Streets are packed with shops. Reading Terminal Market is right there, under the convention centre. If you're spending the day here, you don't need bags slowing you down. We have BagDrop spots in the area so you can move around freely.
South Philly and the Italian Market
South Philly has the Italian Market, a stretch of 9th Street lined with butchers, cheese shops, produce stands and cafes. It's one of the oldest outdoor markets in America and it's made for grazing. The sidewalks are narrow and the stalls are crowded. Not ideal for luggage. Drop your bags at a BagDrop first.
University City
University City is across the Schuylkill River, home to Penn and Drexel. The campuses, restaurants and shops draw students and visitors alike. If you're in the area for a campus tour or a meal, a BagDrop lets you explore without hauling your stuff.
Fishtown
Fishtown has become one of Philly's trendiest neighbourhoods. Frankford Avenue is loaded with breweries, restaurants, galleries and vintage shops. It's the kind of place you wander through. Much easier without bags.
30th Street Station area
30th Street Station is Philly's main Amtrak hub and one of the country's grandest train stations. If you're arriving or departing by train and have time to kill, the area around the station has restaurants and shops. A BagDrop nearby lets you drop your bags and explore before your train.
