Where to find luggage storage in Saint John
Saint John is a compact city and most of the things visitors want to see are within walking distance of each other. Here's where our BagDrop locations cover:
Uptown Saint John and King Street
Uptown is the old downtown core and it's where most of the action is. King Street is the main drag with shops, restaurants and cafes. Prince William Street runs parallel and has some of the nicest heritage buildings in the city. If you're spending the day exploring Uptown, you'll want both hands free. The streets are hilly (Saint John is built on hills, fair warning) and dragging a bag up King Street gets old fast. Our BagDrop spots in the Uptown area let you stash your stuff and take your time.
Saint John City Market
The City Market has been running since 1876 and it's one of the oldest continuously operating farmers' markets in Canada. The building itself is worth seeing. Inside you'll find local produce, seafood, baked goods, crafts and a few prepared food stalls where you can grab dulse, fiddleheads or a solid lobster roll. It's a must-visit, but the aisles are narrow and it's busy on weekends. Leave your bags with us before you go in.
Cruise Terminal and Waterfront
The Marco Polo cruise terminal is right on the waterfront and it handles ships from major cruise lines doing the New England and Canada route. When a big ship pulls in, the whole Uptown area fills up with visitors. The terminal itself doesn't offer much in the way of long-term luggage storage, so if you want to explore beyond the immediate port area, a BagsAway BagDrop nearby gives you the freedom to roam without your bags.
Market Square and the Boardwalk
Market Square is a shopping and entertainment complex connected to the harbour boardwalk. It's got shops, restaurants and the New Brunswick Museum. The boardwalk itself is a nice walk along the water, especially on a sunny day. It connects to the cruise terminal area and Uptown, so it's a natural part of any walking route through the city.
Reversing Falls and the West Side
Reversing Falls is about a 10-minute drive from Uptown (or a solid walk if you're up for it). It's where the Saint John River meets the Bay of Fundy and the crazy tides actually make the rapids reverse direction. There's a skywalk, a lookout and a visitor centre. If you're making the trip out there, it's a lot more enjoyable without luggage in the car or on your back.
Rockwood Park
Rockwood Park is one of the largest urban parks in Canada. It's right in the city and has hiking trails, lakes, a campground and even a small zoo. If you're the outdoorsy type and want to spend a few hours on the trails, bags are the last thing you want to bring along. Drop them at a BagDrop before heading into the park.
