About Harbourfront and surrounding area
The Harbourfront area if full of trails, performance spaces and parks. Aside from green hills The HTO park has its own sandy man-made beach stacked with huge yellow umbrellas and Muskoka chairs against the water backdrop. If you're looking for less lounge and more action, you'll find boats, kayaks and canoes for rent. If you take a stroll on the Harbour on a sunny summer day, you'll see the waters full of sailboats, people stand-up paddling around and a parade of boat cruises to choose from. You will even find dance cruise events both day and night. We recommend a
cruise aboard the Kajama ship where you can fully take in the city skyline with a drink in hand!
The Harbourfront Centre itself is quite the transformative space. It hosts arts events, studios and galleries, yummy cultural food festivals and restaurants, blooming gardens and a slew of family friendly activities. The outdoor theatre and World-stage have a constant stream of live performances and world music.
Our favorite space in the centre? The Natrel Pond! This mini-pond doubles as an outdoor skating rink in the winter months, so float away on a paddle-boat ride under the sun or learn to skate the night away! Make it a family outing or turn up the heat with
the DJ skate nights.
