Getting between the Ferry Building and your bags
Embarcadero station, served by both BART and Muni Metro, is at the foot of Market Street a short walk from the Ferry Building. Ride one stop west to Montgomery Street and walk about 8 minutes to the Union Square location, or ride two stops to Powell Street and walk about 7 minutes. If you have arrived on BART from SFO, get off at Powell Street, drop your bags, then continue to Embarcadero.
Walking the whole way takes about 19 minutes along Market Street; with heavy bags, the one-stop ride is usually easier.
