Looking for Newark airport luggage storage so you can see New York during a long layover or before a late flight? BagsAway doesn't have a location at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), or in Newark or Jersey City. The good news is that trains from the airport run straight to New York Penn Station, and our staffed partner locations there store bags from $0.90/hr.
Is there luggage storage at Newark Airport?
US airports generally don't have self-service lockers in the terminals, and any in-airport bag service can change, so check the official Newark Liberty International Airport website if you want to store at the airport. If you're planning to visit Manhattan, it's easier to carry your bags on the train once and drop them near Penn Station.

Long layover or late flight: a hands-free plan
If you're connecting internationally, you'll need to be allowed to enter the US to leave the airport, and you'll clear security again on the way back. With bags dropped near Penn Station you can easily reach:
- Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building.
- Hudson Yards and the High Line, a short walk west.
- Times Square, Bryant Park and Broadway, a few blocks north.
When you're done, collect your bags and catch an NJ Transit or Amtrak train back to the airport station. Flying from another airport instead? See JFK or LaGuardia.
Tips
- Book online in minutes and pay per bag; you can cancel before drop-off if your flight changes.
- Every booking includes up to $2,500 protection per order.
- Check the listing's closing time against when you need to head back to the airport, and leave a buffer for traffic and security.
- Avoid rush-hour subway trains with big suitcases if you can; drop the bags first and explore light.
