Where to find luggage storage in Sydney
BagsAway's storage network covers all the areas you're most likely to need it. Here's a quick rundown of where you can drop your bags:
Circular Quay and The Rocks
This is where most visitors start. The Opera House is right there, the ferries to Manly and Taronga Zoo leave from the wharves, and The Rocks has some of the best weekend markets in the city. It's also one of the worst places to be dragging luggage around because of the crowds and the uneven cobblestones. We have BagDrop locations within walking distance so you can dump your bags and start exploring straight away.
Central Station and Surry Hills
Central is the main train station in Sydney. If you're coming from the airport on the Airport Link, arriving by interstate train, or catching a bus from regional NSW, you'll end up here. Surry Hills is the neighbourhood right next door and it's packed with good coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Store your bags near Central and spend the afternoon wandering Crown Street instead of sitting in a terminal.
Darling Harbour and Chinatown
Darling Harbour is Sydney's waterfront entertainment precinct. You've got the SEA LIFE Aquarium, the Maritime Museum, WILD LIFE Zoo and plenty of restaurants along the water. Chinatown is right behind it on Dixon Street with some of the best dumplings in the city. If you're spending the day here, drop your bags first. Trust us.
Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction
Bondi needs no introduction. The beach, the coastal walk to Coogee, the Icebergs pool, the Sunday markets. Bondi Junction is the transport hub a few minutes inland with direct trains to the city. If you're heading to the beach for the day, leave your bags at a BagDrop near the Junction and go enjoy the sand without worrying about your stuff.
Sydney CBD and Town Hall
The CBD is the commercial heart of Sydney. Pitt Street Mall, the Queen Victoria Building, the Strand Arcade. If you're shopping or doing business in the city centre, having luggage in tow slows everything down. Our BagDrop spots in the CBD let you move around freely and come back for your bags when you're done.
Manly and the Northern Beaches
The ferry from Circular Quay to Manly is one of the best rides in Sydney. It takes about 30 minutes and drops you right at Manly Wharf, a short walk from the beach. If you're making the trip with luggage (say, heading to or from the airport), it helps to have somewhere to leave your gear while you grab fish and chips on the Corso or take a dip.
