    Capitol Lake and Marathon Park

    Capitol Lake sits between downtown and the Capitol campus, and the trail around it is a popular loop for walking and running. Marathon Park on the north end has picnic areas and views of the Capitol dome reflected in the water. It's a peaceful spot, and you'll enjoy it more without dragging bags along the path.
